The PTA has been an integral part of the school community for a number of years. The object of the Association is to raise funds to be spent on improving equipment and resources to enhance our children’s education and the facilities at our school.

Our PTA is about much more than just fundraising. The PTA exists to provide closer links between home and school and it is an excellent way to bring staff and parents together socially in support of the school, working towards a common goal.

We hold many fundraising activities to help achieve this aim, which have included Craft Fairs, Summer Parties, Film Nights, Discos, Walkathon, Raffles and more.  These events have been successful due to the support and generosity of parents/carers who both assist greatly with the planning and assisting staff, pupils and friends of the school during such events.  Each term there is a big fundraiser and we are so very grateful to our parents and pupils who make them a success!

The support we have been given has enabled us to help the school purchase additional equipment.  During recent years the PTA have paid for musical instruments & equipment, Oscars, computer software to include ePraise rewards.  Most recently we have added 4 new areas to allow our team to support pupils with identified additional educational needs to enhance their school experience and support learning and their confidence as they grow.  We would further welcome dedicated outdoor learning areas and are actively souring fund raising opportunities to allow us put our goals in place for our pupils.  Recently we have also requested support to help us renovate our current school mini bus that is much need of a face lift!

All parents and members of the school community can get involved if they want to and are most welcome.  If you would like to know more, please contact one of our committee members via the school office, they include Mrs Rees (chair), Mrs Johnston (finance), Miss Wilks (Secretary) and  Mr Snell.

We hold an annual general meeting each Autumn term with invitation shared on our parent newsletter and school calendar.
