Alvechurch C of E Middle School

“And the child grew strong; he was full of wisdom and God’s blessings were upon him” Luke 2 :40

14 Jun

On Wednesday 12th June, a group of Year 7 student librarians visited The Hive in Worcester. They were treated to a tour of the flagship Worcestershire library and then attended a ‘Book Blitz’ session where they were introduced to new titles. Later on, our pupils ran a book activity which was attended by students from other schools in the county. Two Alvechurch pupils had then been invited to talk about the Young People’s Reward Card. The visit ended with the announcement of the winner of the Top Ten Book Award 2019 and a piece of cake! Well done to our student librarians and thank you to Sarah Palmer and Mrs Clements for taking the pupils
