Today we had an assembly about the NSPCC. We learnt about child safety and child abuse. There was a teddy which was a speech bubble and the sack of worries. It was about what kids our age might worry about. Then we ended the assembly watching a clip about a girl whose dad hit her and she talked to Childline and everything got better. Jack.
Today a person from the NSPCC came to our school. I found the assembly very interesting. Now I know how to call Childline – the number is 08001111.
They talked about child abuse and bullying. People who are not really confident enough should talk to Childline because they keep it private and it is open 24 hours a day.
They taught us that we have a right to speak out about our problems. I found this information very helpful! Ellie.
I think that today’s assembly was very helpful because I have learnt what the Childline number is. I have also learnt that child safety is extremely important and Childline are always prepared to help. It made me feel better that if I ever have worries I definitely have someone to talk to. Hayden.
