There may be a time when you feel that you need to request leave for your child during term time. For all planned term time absence we ask that you complete the form below and forward to our school office. The request will be processed and passed to Mr Snell for consideration on whether the absence is for an exceptional reason prior to responding to you. Please be advised that this can take up to a week. Please be advised your child’s previous and current attendance records will always accompany the request.

Please be advised that in line with the governments plea to parents to not take children out of school during term time, we do encourage parents to book family holidays during school holidays. Please find below a link to Worcestershire County Council where you will find further information regarding school absence. Should you need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us. http://www.worcestershire.gov.uk/info/20062/schools/125/absence_from_school
For any leave relating to a medical appointment please ensure you notify our office team in order for them to record the absence on your child’s attendance register. You are also required to bring a copy of the medical appointment card with you when collecting your child. For local medical appointments we do ask that you try and organise these for after the school day or during school holidays. We do keep in touch with local surgery’s regarding this with the aim of supporting your requests for appointments outside of school hours.
On days that your child is too unwell to attend school, we ask that you report the absence each day to our school office by 9.15am. This allows us to be accurate on reporting who is absent from school and allowing us to identify who has not made it to school even though expected. You can report an absence by either emailing us 24/7 via our Report and absence link on our home page of the website or by leaving a message on our absence line 0121 445 1033.
With the aim of supporting our pupils, should a pattern of absence become apparent, we will notify parents to ensure they are well informed of their child’s attendance record. This can greatly assist identifying any issues either medically or possibly with school.
Our aim is to ensure your child receives the education and school experience they are entitled to. This is possible through regular school attendance.
