The Music course is essentially practically based with plenty of opportunity for the children to engage in structured compositional work, singing and class performance.

The subject is specialist taught in a well-equipped Music room.  There is a wide range of electronic keyboards and classroom instruments.  Information Technology can be used to create and record music.

Extra-curricular activities such as choir and orchestra groups provide an opportunity to develop skills and interests.  Children who show a special aptitude have the opportunity to learn to play an orchestral instrument with tuition provided by teachers from the County’s peripatetic music staff.

All levels of ability are able to develop musical skills and gain a sense of achievement in musical activities.  This understanding and enjoyment is developed and fostered through participation in music.
